MISSION STATEMENT

Andover Middle School’s mission is to create a safe and effective learning environment that will provide educational and career opportunities for all students while meeting the needs of our multicultural community. Our school places special emphasis on mastery of academic skills, career exploration, community service, self-esteem, self-discipline, interpersonal skills, and personal values to develop life long learners who will be contributors to an ever-changing global economy.

PTSA

The PTSA meeting scheduled for March 18th has been rescheduled for March 25, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. The topic for this meeting is "Helping Your Child with Learning Differences" and "Involved Parents: The Key to Success in School"

Dial-A-Teacher On-Line

Is a free service provided by Miami-Dade County Public Schools in cooperation with the United Teachers of Dade and WLRN-TV. Dial-A-Teacher On-Line offers homework assistance in most subject areas in grade K-12. Assistance is also provided to parents to assist their children with their homework. In order to contact Dial-A-Teacher please visit www.dial-a-teacher.com or call (305) 995-1600 Monday - Thursday on school nights from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Bilingual help is also available)

School Uniforms

Andover Middle School is a mandatory uniform school. Students are to wear their uniforms on the first day of school. Please review our uniform policy on our website for compliance.

Lunch Program

All students will be receiving a free and reduced meal application for free or reduced priced meal, please fill-out the application and return back to the school as soon as possible.

Breakfast will be provided to students beginning at 8:20 a.m.
